TRUE PLAY is a work that lets go of skillfulness and the desire for evaluation, embracing the pure joy of the act of painting itself. Like a child who moves a crayon without hesitation, it depicts a state in which emotion precedes thought—embodying the spirit of enfantilism. Although the artist is right-handed, the work is intentionally painted with the left hand to dismantle technique and habit, releasing 100% of pure artistic instinct. Within play resides true creation and truth. This body of work also questions art education that tends to focus excessively on technical skill.
